Gedea Biotech today announced that its first-in-class vaginal tablet, pHyph®, is now mentioned and described in a major Swedish national clinical guideline for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis (BV), marking an important step in becoming a clinically recognised treatment option. The updated national guidance, issued by Swedish Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (SFOG), highlights pHyph as an antibiotic-free, CE-marked vaginal treatment for bacterial vaginosis and discusses its microbiome-modulating mechanism of action and clinical evidence.
